From Rejection to Reflection: Embracing My Fashion Journey

Mandy

Hey, fashion fam! It's your girl Mandy, checking in from a cloudy LA morning. The sun's playing hide and seek today, and I'm on my second cup of coffee, trying to shake off the midweek blues.

After the whirlwind of LA Fashion Week, I've been taking some time to reflect on my journey. The sting of my design not making the showcase still lingers, but I'm starting to see it as a pivotal moment rather than a setback.

I recently revisited some of the standout shows from Paris Fashion Week, and one that caught my eye was Schiaparelli's Spring/Summer 2026 collection. Daniel Roseberry's minimalist yet daring designs, like Kendall Jenner's ethereal black tulle gown, reminded me that fashion is about pushing boundaries and embracing individuality.

This got me thinking about my own creative process. Maybe it's time to step out of my comfort zone and experiment with bolder concepts. After all, every designer faces rejection; it's how we grow and evolve.

So, to my fellow dreamers and doers, let's take these moments of doubt and turn them into opportunities for growth. Let's challenge ourselves to think differently, to create fearlessly, and to remember that the path to success is rarely a straight line.

With love and a touch of espresso,

Mandy
